STOP CARD CHECK
Stop the Confirmation of Craig Becker to the National Labor Relations Board

Stymied in their efforts to get Congress to eliminate the secret ballot for union elections, the Obama Administration and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid have teamed up with the big labor bosses to impose their will by executive fiat. The issue is whether workers will continue to be protected by casting a secret ballot on joining a union or whether the law will be changed to allow employees to check yes or no on a card handed them by a union organizer.

Obama has nominated Craig Becker, a top lawyer with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). Becker says he believes the NLRB has the authority to change the laws governing union certification without the consent of Congress. Thanks to Senator McCain and others, the Becker nomination has been held up until now. On Thursday, the Senate Health Education and Labor Committee voted to recommend confirmation by a vote of 13-10. Reid thought he could ram through the nomination before newly elected Republican Scott Brown of Massachusetts was seated but he was foiled in that attempt when Brown took the oath of office on Thursday.

NOW THE REPUBLICANS CAN STOP BECKER BY VOTING AGAINST CLOTURE (ENDING DEBATE) ON MONDAY IF THEY HOLD TOGETHER OR GAIN THE SUPPORT OF DEMOCRATS WHO CLAIM TO BE AGAINST CARD CHECK

CALL YOUR SENATORS RIGHT NOW AND TELL THEM TO STOP CARD CHECK BY VOTING AGAINST CLOTURE ON THE NOMINATION OF CRAIG BECKER

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (202) 224-3244
Sen. Al Franken (202) 224-5641

Employers Have No Rights

In 1993, Becker said this in the Minnesota Law Review about union certification:
“employers should be stripped of any legally cognizable interest in their employees election of representatives.” Becker went on: “employers should have no right to raise questions concerning voter eligibility or campaign conduct.”

In other words, a small business owner who has spent years building up his or her business should have no rights when it comes to one of the most significant decisions affecting the future of their business, even to object to corrupt election practices.

Becker went on to say in that same article that the NLRB should “return to the principle that a union election is not a contest between an employer and the union.” Therefore, he went on to write, some proposals could be achieved with almost no alteration to the statutory framework-in other words by fiat instead of legislation. There is every reason to believe Becker would apply these principles to the card check issue, the number one priority for big labor.

TAKE ACTION NOW! CONTACT THE SENATORS FROM YOUR STATE AND URGE THEM TO VOTE “NO” ON CLOTURE ON CRAIG BECKER MONDAY

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (202) 224-3244
Sen. Al Franken (202) 224-5641

Funding ACORN

The SEIU has kept the corrupt ACORN organization in business by giving $8.5 million of its members’ money in contributions since 2005. As you may know, this organization has had criminal charges filed against it in a number of states for corrupt practices involving voter registration and unfair labor practices. As one of the top counsels to the SEIU, there is no evidence that Craig Becker ever objected to millions of dollars flowing to ACORN even after a number of its employees were convicted of violating the law.

Becker was also in apparent violation of President Obama’s own conflict of interest rules by participating in the preparation of pro big labor Executive Orders while still on the payroll of the SEIU.

TELL YOUR SENATORS NOW THAT YOU CONSIDER A VOTE FOR CRAIG BECKER A VOTE FOR CARD CHECK AND TO VOTE “NO” ON CLOTURE TO END DEBATE MONDAY

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (202) 224-3244
Sen. Al Franken (202) 224-5641
The American Conservative Union thanks you for all you do to advance the cause of conservative, free-market principles.

Techniques of US investigation of terrorism is brought to Islam front organizations to make sure Islam does not get its feelings hurt.
FBI “Care” trains them. Puhleeze. Training is given by Muslim Brotherhood.

“How on God’s green earth did this happen?” Hundreds of Muslim front groups, right here with rights protected for Sharia Law with U.S. laws and courts. For example, one of the first organizations was the Muslim Student Associations in our Universities; MSA–1963, recruiting–connected 100% to a larger group, to establish the Muslim Brotherhood’s agenda here in the USA.

Pay attention citizens.

“It is more effective to erode the U.S. system from within than to attack it from outside,” say these who would destroy us. Are you paying attention, America? Our FBI is being trained to be nice by the very groups it must investigate. Really now, to be nice to those who would dismember and overthrow us is not a laughing matter. Are we really that naive? Remember who is President–he’s being handled by those who like to keep him talking while they stalk us on our own soil.

Remember the Trojan Horse of old?

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd – Australia tells it like it is

Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks..
Separately, Rudd angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation’s mosques. Quote:
‘IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians. ‘
‘This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom’
‘We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!’
‘Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.’
‘We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.’
‘This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, ‘THE RIGHT TO LEAVE’.’
‘If you aren’t happy here then LEAVE. We didn’t force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.’
————————————————————————————————
Maybe if we circulate this amongst ourselves, WE will find the courage to start speaking and voicing the same truths.

The deal valued NBC Universal at about $30 billion.

The agreement will create a joint venture, with Comcast owning 51 percent and G.E. owning 49 percent. Comcast will contribute to the joint venture its stable of cable channels, which includes Versus, the Golf Channel and E Entertainment, worth about $7.25 billion, and will pay G.E. about $6.5 billion in cash, for a total of $13.75 billion. For now, the network will remain NBC Universal, but ultimately Comcast could decide to change the name.

Almost immediately, the transaction reshapes the nation’s entertainment industry, giving a cable provider a huge portfolio of new content, even as it raises the sector’s anxieties about the future.
Talking point:
Freedom includes the freedom to worship as each one chooses.

Health care that denies ‘life’ to citizens must first remember not to DO HARM.

Socialized medicine has been a tool of SUBJECTION used in other countries to eliminate privacy and to ignore the despair of some people who don’t count as much as others, forgetting the phrase, “… endowed by our Creator with inalienable rights.” So it is easy to forget Who is in charge in America. If God be God, give honor to Whom honor is do. Christians, God asks us to humble ourselves and pray and turn from our wicked ways, so God will hear from heaven and forgive our sins, and heal our land. II Chronicles 7:14 is not written to the unbelievers, but to those who believe God is God. Christians could start something good, like healing and repentance for the evil we entertain and endure and express. Turn. Pray. Let’s do our part.
President’s Confusing Messages on Religion
by Ken Blackwell, Contributing Author: President Obama attended the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington yesterday. His own denomination — the United Church of Christ — has been teasingly described as “Unitarians considering Christ.” I don’t know how much he is considering Jesus, but he sure is quiet about it if he is. Even among Christians, the president seems to believe in a Christless Christianity.

He quoted President Kennedy’s inaugural—always a good idea. “Civility is not a sign of weakness,” he said. But as with omitting Jesus, the president skipped the rest of the JFK quote: “. . . but sincerity is always subject to proof.”

We are seeing little proof of his sincerity these days. Former Bush speechwriter Michael Gerson recognized Barack Obama’s great gifts—as all Americans once did. When he first appeared on the scene, it seemed Obama could be eloquent reading the telephone book. Of late, Gerson points out, more and more Americans think the president is just reading the telephone book.

Obama has told the world he is a Christian, not a Muslim. We have his word on it. We even have the word of his pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, on it. There has never been a religious test for any federal office, including the presidency. In fact, the candidate elected in 1908—a full century before Obama—was not a Christian. William Howard Taft was a fine president. But as a Unitarian, Taft rejected the Holy Trinity; he rejected the divinity of Jesus Christ.

When President Obama took the oath of office last year, he made a stunning rhetorical shift in his inaugural address. He described America as a nation of “Christians and Muslims, Jews, Hindus and nonbelievers.” Where did that come from? This was the first time in U.S. history that the Jews had been so displaced.

Jews first arrived in America in 1654, in the New Netherlands colony that was then owned by the Dutch. Jews have been an integral part of our history as a people ever since. They have fought in all of America’s wars. Though a small minority, the influence of the Jews has been great. Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin wanted the official seal of the United States to depict Moses leading the Children of Israel out of bondage in Egypt. My fellow black Americans took inspiration from the Hebrews in our own 300-year struggle for freedom.

Even though a small percentage of America today, the Jewish people are by all counts a larger percentage of the American population than Muslims. And since Jews are, in the phrase of Pope John Paul II, “our elder brothers in the faith,” Jewish ideals and the Hebrew Scriptures have animated Christians in this country from the time the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock. So why has President Obama pushed them aside? It’s not just a rhetorical slip. A president’s inaugural address is freighted with meaning.

The president ventured deeper into theological confusion in his Cairo address. He referred to “the Holy Koran.” He described the Middle East as the region “where Islam was first revealed.” Muslims are certainly free to believe these things. But Christians cannot regard the sacred books of any other religion as holy or revealed. If they do, they are denying their own faith.

No one expects the president of the United States to use his state powers to Christianize the world. Previous attempts to advance Christianity with the sword have led to great discredit to the Church.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt was the first U.S. president to meet with the King of Saudi Arabia. FDR met Abdul Azziz aboard the U.S.S. Quincy on Feb. 14, 1945. Because of this historic meeting, the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is known as Quincy House to this day. Roosevelt was described by his son Franklin Jr. as “a very religious man.” FDR found no need to bow to the Muslim king. The president attended Christian services on board the Quincy and made no apologies for his faith.

When President Obama makes theological statements about Islam that no Christian can believe or accept, he is not reaching out or simply engaging in diplomatic niceties. He is sending a most confusing message.

I am not questioning his beliefs, but I think the mixed messages he has sent only fuel speculation about those beliefs. These speculations then fly around the internet and undermine the sincerity of his own professions of belief. This has created a credibility gap for him with millions of Americans.

You can be diplomatic and culturally sensitive without surrendering your Christian faith. I spent years meeting with Arab and Muslim diplomats when I served as U.S. ambassador to the UN Human Rights Commission. I never sought to give needless offense to those with whom I was meeting. Neither did I ever give up one iota of my own Christian beliefs.

President Washington set the pattern. He wrote in 1790 to the Hebrew Congregation at Newport, R.I. He welcomed the messages of support the American Jewish community had sent to him and to the new government. We should be proud, as Washington wrote, that “the government of the United States, which gives to bigotry no sanction, to persecution no assistance,” has set the highest standard for religious liberty in the world.

The Muslim-dominant states to which President Obama was reaching out have no such example of liberty. In none of the states where Islam predominates are the basic tenets of religious liberty honored. This is undeniable, as the president’s own State Department’s reports on religious freedom confirm year after year.

Washington was the first ruler in history to address the Jews as equal fellow citizens. His example helped to make this country a beacon for religious freedom. Our free churches and synagogues led the fight to end slavery, to stop segregation, and to protect human life. In this, we have nothing to apologize for. No American should bow to any monarch. And no one on earth should bow to the persecuting King of Saudi Arabia. Instead, let us stand tall for liberty.
Date sent 01/11/2010 03:01:16 pm
Subject: US agrees to timetable for UN Gun Ban

U.S. agrees to timetable for UN Gun Ban
The United Nations and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are moving forward with their plan to confiscate your guns.

The United States joined 152 other countries in support of the Arms Trade Treaty Resolution, which establishes the dates for the 2012 UN conference intended to attack American sovereignty by stripping Americans of the right to keep and bear arms.

Working groups of anti-gun countries will begin scripting language for the conference this year, creating a blueprint for other countries when they meet at the full conference.

The stakes couldn’t be higher.

Former United Nation’s ambassador John Bolton has cautioned gun owners about the Arms Trade Treaty and says the UN “is trying to act as though this is really just a treaty about international arms trade between nation states, but there’s no doubt that the real agenda here is domestic firearms control.”

Establishing the dates for the Arms Trade Treaty Conference is just the first step toward their plans for total gun confiscation.

The worldwide gun control mob will ensure the passage of an egregious, anti-gun treaty…

. . .and that’s where Secretary of State Hillary Clinton steps in.

Once the UN Gun Ban is passed by the General Assembly of the United Nations it must be ratified by each nation, including the United States.

As an arch enemy of gun owners, Clinton has pledged to push the U.S. Senate to ratify the treaty. She will push for passage of this outrageous treaty designed to register, ban and CONFISCATE firearms owned by private citizens like YOU.

That’s why it’s vital you sign the special petition I’ve made up for your signature that DEMANDS your U.S. Senators vote AGAINST ratification of the UN’s “Small Arms Treaty.”

So far, the gun-grabbers have successfully kept the exact wording of their new scheme under wraps.

But looking at previous versions of the UN “Small Arms Treaty,” you and I can get a good idea of what’s likely in the works.

Don’t let any of the “experts” lull you to sleep by saying “Oh, we have it handled” or “Until you know exactly what’s in the treaty you can’t fight against it.”

Judging by Ambassador Bolton’s comments — who certainly knows what to expect from the American-freedom-hating international crowd that infests the U.N. — we are certain the treaty’s going to address the private ownership of firearms.

If passed by the UN and ratified by the U.S. Senate (which is where we must ultimately make our stand), the UN “Small Arms Treaty” would almost certainly FORCE national governments to:

*** Enact tougher licensing requirements, making law-abiding citizens cut through even more bureaucratic red tape just to own a firearm legally;

*** CONFISCATE and DESTROY ALL “unauthorized” civilian firearms (all firearms owned by the government are excluded, of course);

*** BAN the trade, sale and private ownership of ALL semi-automatic weapons;

*** Create an INTERNATIONAL gun registry, setting the stage for full-scale gun CONFISCATION. So please click here to sign the petition to your U.S. Senators before it’s too late!

You see, this is NOT a fight we can afford to lose.

Here’s what you can do to help the National Association for Gun Rights fight Hillary Clinton and her United Nations cronies:

    * Click here and sign our petition to DEMAND that your United States Senators vote AGAINST the United Nations Small Arms Treaty.

    * Forward this e-mail to your friends and relatives who share your concern for American sovereignty and protecting our right to keep and bear arms.

* Please consider making a generous contribution to the National Association for Gun Rights to help us fight Hillary Clinton and the United Nations “Small Arms Treaty.”

Without your help and support, the National Association for Gun Rights cannot defeat this measure.

Thank you in advance for your support.

For Liberty,
Dudley’s Signature
Dudley Brown

P.S. The Obama Administration just announced they would be working hand-in-glove with the UN to pass a new GLOBAL “Small Arms Treaty.”

That’s why it’s vital you and I fight back IMMEDIATELY.

Please click here to sign the special petition I’ve made up for your signature that DEMANDS your U.S. Senators vote AGAINST ratification of the UN’s “Small Arms Treaty.”

The growing FAMILY OF GOD, GRACE, INVITATIONS TO BELONG and to believe again and TO RETURN TO GOD repeatedly for forgiveness and to receive the love He always transmits and offers–THESE OPTIONS ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF SCRIPTURE and offered to those of us as we wonder and wander and exist IN THE MIDDLE of our own times–often distressed. Eternal life is offered to those IN THE MIDDLE of time, EVEN TO EARTH DWELLERS, 2010. Christians carry the seeds, water the seeds, pull some weeds, do good deeds and help harvest more souls that one by one admit to being starved for love and acceptance–hungry, believing there could be more and admitting to having ‘a want to’, wanting to experience ‘God with them’, too–noticing an emptiness inside their very soul. It is pure joy to know and share Jesus with a ‘wonderer’! He never deceives us, and repeatedly frees us. No wonder we continue to believe again and again. Our human spirits connect and relate to the AVAILABLE Mighty Spirit of the Living God Who is right here, near as a wish and a welcoming word from us. Yes, come to me LORD JESUS! He hears our hearts when we can’t even speak the words. Then we are accepted in the beloved. We do dance like David danced–for the joy of authentic, resilient, life empowered by the resurrected Christ. He gives quality life that lasts. We have been graced and powered by love that lifts our lives into purpose and meaning–assuring us there is MORE to come. No wonder praise to God is raised! PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD. “Amazing Grace!” in the middle of anyone’s life, any mess, any disease, any persecution, any horrible sinfilled horror story, available for the worst and the best of us and for ANYONE WHO ASKS! “Come!” Who’s calling to you? You know. JESUS. Safe at Last and forever. Now back to work on bringing more good news, back we go for the harvest fields of the world are white with a harvest of seeking souls. How great is the joy of giving someone what we have been FREELY GIVEN. JOY!

“Now is the day of salvation!” All people live in “NOW” if they’re “HERE”.
All are welcomed to be saved from the present evil afflicting and infecting the planet. Christians are in the world, but not of it–”My kingdom is not of this world,” Jesus said, and neither are we as Christians. “You are of God little children, and it does not yet appear to you what you shall be. When you see Him you will be like Him, for you will see Him as He now is.” The promises of God are invigorating and substantial. We know He knows us totally, and loves us IMMENSELY, anyway. Accepted as significant–each one of us–that’s Christianity, the CULTURE OF LIFE THAT LASTS. Belonging to God’s family. Loved. Love authenticates this relationship with God. We are loved like never before, and we often know and receive it–unless we stray for a time. He comes after us, even one lost sheep who wandered off–He carries us on His shoulders through the tough stuff, Good Shepherd that He is, carries us like little lambs with a broken leg that needs His healing. How can we NOT SHARE the SOURCE of the watersprings of our overflowing life in Christ? We must share or the very rocks would cry out. Good News!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

“I am the Light that lights every man who comes into the world… Not everyone comes to the Light, because then both good and evil deeds become visible. Come to Me, learn of Me for I am meek and lowly of heart and you will find REST FOR YOUR SOULS. Ask of Me and I will give you ETERNAL LIFE.” –Jesus, God with us! “It is Written!” [The Bible describes the beginning and the end, and it is not hidden in the halls of Congress by control freak handlers like our deformed death care dire documents. At least in America we can read, and know the Author of ALL THAT'S GOOD AND RIGHT. One caveat--when you read the Holy Spirit of God will be available to 'TEACH YOU ALL THINGS'...if you ask for wisdom and understanding. You're created in God's image! Enjoy having a perfect Teacher and Helper.]
_______________________________________________________________
Preamble
Christians are heirs of a 2,000-year tradition of proclaiming God’s word, seeking justice in our societies, resisting tyranny, and reaching out with compassion to the poor, oppressed and suffering.

While fully acknowledging the imperfections and shortcomings of Christian institutions and communities in all ages, we claim the heritage of those Christians who defended innocent life by rescuing discarded babies from trash heaps in Roman cities and publicly denouncing the Empire’s sanctioning of infanticide. We remember with reverence those believers who sacrificed their lives by remaining in Roman cities to tend the sick and dying during the plagues, and who died bravely in the coliseums rather than deny their Lord.

After the barbarian tribes overran Europe, Christian monasteries preserved not only the Bible but also the literature and art of Western culture. It was Christians who combated the evil of slavery: Papal edicts in the 16th and 17th centuries decried the practice of slavery and first excommunicated anyone involved in the slave trade; evangelical Christians in England, led by John Wesley and William Wilberforce, put an end to the slave trade in that country. Christians under Wilberforce’s leadership also formed hundreds of societies for helping the poor, the imprisoned, and child laborers chained to machines.

In Europe, Christians challenged the divine claims of kings and successfully fought to establish the rule of law and balance of governmental powers, which made modern democracy possible. And in America, Christian women stood at the vanguard of the suffrage movement. The great civil rights crusades of the 1950s and 60s were led by Christians claiming the Scriptures and asserting the glory of the image of God in every human being regardless of race, religion, age or class.

This same devotion to human dignity has led Christians in the last decade to work to end the dehumanizing scourge of human trafficking and sexual slavery, bring compassionate care to AIDS sufferers in Africa, and assist in a myriad of other human rights causes – from providing clean water in developing nations to providing homes for tens of thousands of children orphaned by war, disease and gender discrimination.

Like those who have gone before us in the faith, Christians today are called to proclaim the Gospel of costly grace, to protect the intrinsic dignity of the human person and to stand for the common good. In being true to its own calling, the call to discipleship, the church through service to others can make a profound contribution to the public good.

Declaration
We, as Orthodox, Catholic, and Evangelical Christians, have gathered, beginning in New York on September 28, 2009, to make the following declaration, which we sign as individuals, not on behalf of our organizations, but speaking to and from our communities. We act together in obedience to the one true God, the triune God of holiness and love, who has laid total claim on our lives and by that claim calls us with believers in all ages and all nations to seek and defend the good of all who bear his image. We set forth this declaration in light of the truth that is grounded in Holy Scripture, in natural human reason (which is itself, in our view, the gift of a beneficent God), and in the very nature of the human person. We call upon all people of goodwill, believers and non-believers alike, to consider carefully and reflect critically on the issues we here address as we, with St. Paul, commend this appeal to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.

While the whole scope of Christian moral concern, including a special concern for the poor and vulnerable, claims our attention, we are especially troubled that in our nation today the lives of the unborn, the disabled, and the elderly are severely threatened; that the institution of marriage, already buffeted by promiscuity, infidelity and divorce, is in jeopardy of being redefined to accommodate fashionable ideologies; that freedom of religion and the rights of conscience are gravely jeopardized by those who would use the instruments of coercion to compel persons of faith to compromise their deepest convictions.

Because the sanctity of human life, the dignity of marriage as a union of husband and wife, and the freedom of conscience and religion are foundational principles of justice and the common good, we are compelled by our Christian faith to speak and act in their defense. In this declaration we affirm: 1) the profound, inherent, and equal dignity of every human being as a creature fashioned in the very image of God, possessing inherent rights of equal dignity and life; 2) marriage as a conjugal union of man and woman, ordained by God from the creation, and historically understood by believers and non-believers alike, to be the most basic institution in society and; 3) religious liberty, which is grounded in the character of God, the example of Christ, and the inherent freedom and dignity of human beings created in the divine image.

We are Christians who have joined together across historic lines of ecclesial differences to affirm our right—and, more importantly, to embrace our obligation—to speak and act in defense of these truths. We pledge to each other, and to our fellow believers, that no power on earth, be it cultural or political, will intimidate us into silence or acquiescence. It is our duty to proclaim the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in its fullness, both in season and out of season. May God help us not to fail in that duty.

Life
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27

I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10

Although public sentiment has moved in a pro-life direction, we note with sadness that pro- abortion ideology prevails today in our government. Many in the present administration want to make abortions legal at any stage of fetal development, and want to provide abortions at taxpayer expense. Majorities in both houses of Congress hold pro-abortion views. The Supreme Court, whose infamous 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade stripped the unborn of legal protection, continues to treat elective abortion as a fundamental constitutional right, though it has upheld as constitutionally permissible some limited restrictions on abortion. The President says that he wants to reduce the “need” for abortion—a commendable goal. But he has also pledged to make abortion more easily and widely available by eliminating laws prohibiting government funding, requiring waiting periods for women seeking abortions, and parental notification for abortions performed on minors. The elimination of these important and effective pro-life laws cannot reasonably be expected to do other than significantly increase the number of elective abortions by which the lives of countless children are snuffed out prior to birth. Our commitment to the sanctity of life is not a matter of partisan loyalty, for we recognize that in the thirty-six years since Roe v. Wade, elected officials and appointees of both major political parties have been complicit in giving legal sanction to what Pope John Paul II described as “the culture of death.” We call on all officials in our country, elected and appointed, to protect and serve every member of our society, including the most marginalized, voiceless, and vulnerable among us.

A culture of death inevitably cheapens life in all its stages and conditions by promoting the belief that lives that are imperfect, immature or inconvenient are discardable. As predicted by many prescient persons, the cheapening of life that began with abortion has now metastasized. For example, human embryo-destructive research and its public funding are promoted in the name of science and in the cause of developing treatments and cures for diseases and injuries. The President and many in Congress favor the expansion of embryo-research to include the taxpayer funding of so-called “therapeutic cloning.” This would result in the industrial mass production of human embryos to be killed for the purpose of producing genetically customized stem cell lines and tissues. At the other end of life, an increasingly powerful movement to promote assisted suicide and “voluntary” euthanasia threatens the lives of vulnerable elderly and disabled persons. Eugenic notions such as the doctrine of lebensunwertes Leben (“life unworthy of life”) were first advanced in the 1920s by intellectuals in the elite salons of America and Europe. Long buried in ignominy after the horrors of the mid-20th century, they have returned from the grave. The only difference is that now the doctrines of the eugenicists are dressed up in the language of “liberty,” “autonomy,” and “choice.”

We will be united and untiring in our efforts to roll back the license to kill that began with the abandonment of the unborn to abortion. We will work, as we have always worked, to bring assistance, comfort, and care to pregnant women in need and to those who have been victimized by abortion, even as we stand resolutely against the corrupt and degrading notion that it can somehow be in the best interests of women to submit to the deliberate killing of their unborn children. Our message is, and ever shall be, that the just, humane, and truly Christian answer to problem pregnancies is for all of us to love and care for mother and child alike.

A truly prophetic Christian witness will insistently call on those who have been entrusted with temporal power to fulfill the first responsibility of government: to protect the weak and vulnerable against violent attack, and to do so with no favoritism, partiality, or discrimination. The Bible enjoins us to defend those who cannot defend themselves, to speak for those who cannot themselves speak. And so we defend and speak for the unborn, the disabled, and the dependent. What the Bible and the light of reason make clear, we must make clear. We must be willing to defend, even at risk and cost to ourselves and our institutions, the lives of our brothers and sisters at every stage of development and in every condition.

Our concern is not confined to our own nation. Around the globe, we are witnessing cases of genocide and “ethnic cleansing,” the failure to assist those who are suffering as innocent victims of war, the neglect and abuse of children, the exploitation of vulnerable laborers, the sexual trafficking of girls and young women, the abandonment of the aged, racial oppression and discrimination, the persecution of believers of all faiths, and the failure to take steps necessary to halt the spread of preventable diseases like AIDS. We see these travesties as flowing from the same loss of the sense of the dignity of the human person and the sanctity of human life that drives the abortion industry and the movements for assisted suicide, euthanasia, and human cloning for biomedical research. And so ours is, as it must be, a truly consistent ethic of love and life for all humans in all circumstances.

Marriage
The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman, for she was taken out of man.” For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. Genesis 2:23-24

This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. Ephesians 5:32-33

In Scripture, the creation of man and woman, and their one-flesh union as husband and wife, is the crowning achievement of God’s creation. In the transmission of life and the nurturing of children, men and women joined as spouses are given the great honor of being partners with God Himself. Marriage then, is the first institution of human society—indeed it is the institution on which all other human institutions have their foundation. In the Christian tradition we refer to marriage as “holy matrimony” to signal the fact that it is an institution ordained by God, and blessed by Christ in his participation at a wedding in Cana of Galilee. In the Bible, God Himself blesses and holds marriage in the highest esteem.

Vast human experience confirms that marriage is the original and most important institution for sustaining the health, education, and welfare of all persons in a society. Where marriage is honored, and where there is a flourishing marriage culture, everyone benefits—the spouses themselves, their children, the communities and societies in which they live. Where the marriage culture begins to erode, social pathologies of every sort quickly manifest themselves. Unfortunately, we have witnessed over the course of the past several decades a serious erosion of the marriage culture in our own country. Perhaps the most telling—and alarming—indicator is the out-of-wedlock birth rate. Less than fifty years ago, it was under 5 percent. Today it is over 40 percent. Our society—and particularly its poorest and most vulnerable sectors, where the out- of-wedlock birth rate is much higher even than the national average—is paying a huge price in delinquency, drug abuse, crime, incarceration, hopelessness, and despair. Other indicators are widespread non-marital sexual cohabitation and a devastatingly high rate of divorce.

We confess with sadness that Christians and our institutions have too often scandalously failed to uphold the institution of marriage and to model for the world the true meaning of marriage. Insofar as we have too easily embraced the culture of divorce and remained silent about social practices that undermine the dignity of marriage we repent, and call upon all Christians to do the same.

To strengthen families, we must stop glamorizing promiscuity and infidelity and restore among our people a sense of the profound beauty, mystery, and holiness of faithful marital love. We must reform ill-advised policies that contribute to the weakening of the institution of marriage, including the discredited idea of unilateral divorce. We must work in the legal, cultural, and religious domains to instill in young people a sound understanding of what marriage is, what it requires, and why it is worth the commitment and sacrifices that faithful spouses make.

Multiple partner relationships is a symptom, rather than the cause, of the erosion of the marriage culture. It reflects a loss of understanding of the meaning of marriage as embodied in our civil and religious law and in the philosophical tradition that contributed to shaping the law. Yet it is critical that the impulse be resisted, for yielding to it would mean abandoning the possibility of restoring a sound understanding of marriage and, with it, the hope of rebuilding a healthy marriage culture. It would lock into place the false and destructive belief that mar the impulse to redefine marriage in order to recognize same-seriage is all about romance and other adult satisfactions, and not, in any intrinsic way, about procreation and the unique character and value of acts and relationships whose meaning is shaped by their aptness for the generation, promotion and protection of life. In spousal communion and the rearing of children (who, as gifts of God, are the fruit of their parents’ marital love), we discover the profound reasons for and benefits of the marriage covenant.

We acknowledge that there are those who are disposed towards homosexual and polyamorous conduct and relationships, just as there are those who are disposed towards other forms of immoral conduct. We have compassion for those so disposed; we respect them as human beings possessing profound, inherent, and equal dignity; and we pay tribute to the men and women who strive, often with little assistance, to resist the temptation to yield to desires that they, no less than we, regard as wayward. We stand with them, even when they falter. We, no less than they, are sinners who have fallen short of God’s intention for our lives. We, no less than they, are in constant need of God’s patience, love and forgiveness. We call on the entire Christian community to resist sexual immorality, and at the same time refrain from disdainful condemnation of those who yield to it. Our rejection of sin, though resolute, must never become the rejection of sinners. For every sinner, regardless of the sin, is loved by God, who seeks not our destruction but rather the conversion of our hearts. Jesus calls all who wander from the path of virtue to “a more excellent way.” As his disciples we will reach out in love to assist all who hear the call and wish to answer it.

We further acknowledge that there are sincere people who disagree with us, and with the teaching of the Bible and Christian tradition, on questions of sexual morality and the nature of marriage. Some who enter into same-sex and polyamorous relationships no doubt regard their unions as truly marital. They fail to understand, however, that marriage is made possible by the sexual complementarity of man and woman, and that the comprehensive, multi-level sharing of life that marriage is includes bodily unity of the sort that unites husband and wife biologically as a reproductive unit. This is because the body is no mere extrinsic instrument of the human person, but truly part of the personal reality of the human being. Human beings are not merely centers of consciousness or emotion, or minds, or spirits, inhabiting non-personal bodies. The human person is a dynamic unity of body, mind, and spirit. Marriage is what one man and one woman establish when, forsaking all others and pledging lifelong commitment, they found a sharing of life at every level of being—the biological, the emotional, the dispositional, the rational, the spiritual— on a commitment that is sealed, completed and actualized by loving sexual intercourse in which the spouses become one flesh, not in some merely metaphorical sense, but by fulfilling together the behavioral conditions of procreation. That is why in the Christian tradition, and historically in Western law, consummated marriages are not dissoluble or annullable on the ground of infertility, even though the nature of the marital relationship is shaped and structured by its intrinsic orientation to the great good of procreation.

We understand that many of our fellow citizens, including some Christians, believe that the historic definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman is a denial of equality or civil rights. They wonder what to say in reply to the argument that asserts that no harm would be done to them or to anyone if the law of the community were to confer upon two men or two women who are living together in a sexual partnership the status of being “married.” It would not, after all, affect their own marriages, would it? On inspection, however, the argument that laws governing one kind of marriage will not affect another cannot stand. Were it to prove anything, it would prove far too much: the assumption that the legal status of one set of marriage relationships affects no other would not only argue for same sex partnerships; it could be asserted with equal validity for polyamorous partnerships, polygamous households, even adult brothers, sisters, or brothers and sisters living in incestuous relationships. Should these, as a matter of equality or civil rights, be recognized as lawful marriages, and would they have no effects on other relationships? No. The truth is that marriage is not something abstract or neutral that the law may legitimately define and re-define to please those who are powerful and influential.

No one has a civil right to have a non-marital relationship treated as a marriage. Marriage is an objective reality—a covenantal union of husband and wife—that it is the duty of the law to recognize and support for the sake of justice and the common good. If it fails to do so, genuine social harms follow. First, the religious liberty of those for whom this is a matter of conscience is jeopardized. Second, the rights of parents are abused as family life and sex education programs in schools are used to teach children that an enlightened understanding recognizes as “marriages” sexual partnerships that many parents believe are intrinsically non-marital and immoral. Third, the common good of civil society is damaged when the law itself, in its critical pedagogical function, becomes a tool for eroding a sound understanding of marriage on which the flourishing of the marriage culture in any society vitally depends. Sadly, we are today far from having a thriving marriage culture. But if we are to begin the critically important process of reforming our laws and mores to rebuild such a culture, the last thing we can afford to do is to re-define marriage in such a way as to embody in our laws a false proclamation about what marriage is.

And so it is out of love (not “animus”) and prudent concern for the common good (not “prejudice”), that we pledge to labor ceaselessly to preserve the legal definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman and to rebuild the marriage culture. How could we, as Christians, do otherwise? The Bible teaches us that marriage is a central part of God’s creation covenant. Indeed, the union of husband and wife mirrors the bond between Christ and his church. And so just as Christ was willing, out of love, to give Himself up for the church in a complete sacrifice, we are willing, lovingly, to make whatever sacrifices are required of us for the sake of the inestimable treasure that is marriage.

Religious Liberty
[These quotations are from the last book of the Bible, the ending verses, recorded by John, the Apostle--a disciple of Jesus Christ, exiled for his faith by an earth ruler, and sent to the island of Patmos. John knew what resurrection power was about. He talked to the earth walking resurrected Jesus Who leaned close to John often to speak softly the Words of Life, "Because I live, you, too shall live." --the strong and steady words of the resurrected Christ. John acted uprightly, upset some, spoke out loud, lived out the faith that formed him. John knew Jesus and ministered to many. John knew the outcomes of love mixed mightily with power and love and super intelligence--JESUS! John is an example to us of believing through the tough stuff. He believed through it all, that-- "There is more...it is written."]
Powerful poetry and empowered people move across this planet, seeking to tell the good news of full payment for sin to the lost, to the deceived, to the dying– and to bring love and hope to the orphan and the widow and the rejected, the lonely, the disenfranchised and those who cry out from earth’s most wretched realms. God is not deaf. His RESPONSE TO OUR CALLS FOR HELP ARE WIRELESS. He is present and His timing is perfect. Sometimes He sends a friend of God to help another–sometimes He sends us. We can help one another. We will see Him later and be like Him, like He said. God cannot lie. He is TRUTH. Continue the journey!

THE INVITATION: Each citizen of the world gets to RSVP!

“Come to me, if you’re tired!” ” I give bread to the hungry and to those who have no strength I give power.” “My mercy endures forever. Come to Me.”
“I am come that you may have LIFE, and have it MORE ABUNDANTLY…I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE, NO MAN COMES TO THE FATHER but through Me.” –Jesus

The struggle for religious liberty across the centuries has been long and arduous, but it is not a novel idea or recent development. The nature of religious liberty is grounded in the character of God Himself, the God who is most fully known in the life and work of Jesus Christ. Determined to follow Jesus faithfully in life and death, the early Christians appealed to the manner in which the Incarnation had taken place: “Did God send Christ, as some suppose, as a tyrant brandishing fear and terror? Not so, but in gentleness and meekness…, for compulsion is no attribute of God” (Epistle to Diognetus 7.3-4). Thus the right to religious freedom has its foundation in the example of Christ Himself and in the very dignity of the human person created in the image of God—a dignity, as our founders proclaimed, inherent in every human, and knowable by all in the exercise of right reason.

Christians confess that God alone is Lord of the conscience. Immunity from religious coercion is the cornerstone of an unconstrained conscience. No one should be compelled to embrace any religion against his will, nor should persons of faith be forbidden to worship God according to the dictates of conscience or to express freely and publicly their deeply held religious convictions. What is true for individuals applies to religious communities as well.

It is ironic that those who today assert a right to kill the unborn, aged and disabled and also a right to engage in immoral sexual practices, and even a right to have relationships integrated around these practices be recognized and blessed by law—such persons claiming these “rights” are very often in the vanguard of those who would trample upon the freedom of others to express their religious and moral commitments to the sanctity of life and to the dignity of marriage as the conjugal union of husband and wife.

We see this, for example, in the effort to weaken or eliminate conscience clauses, and therefore to compel pro-life institutions (including religiously affiliated hospitals and clinics), and pro-life physicians, surgeons, nurses, and other health care professionals, to refer for abortions and, in certain cases, even to perform or participate in abortions. We see it in the use of anti- discrimination statutes to force religious institutions, businesses, and service providers of various sorts to comply with activities they judge to be deeply immoral or go out of business. After the judicial imposition of “same-sex marriage” in Massachusetts, for example, Catholic Charities chose with great reluctance to end its century-long work of helping to place orphaned children in good homes rather than comply with a legal mandate that it place children in same-sex households in violation of Catholic moral teaching. In New Jersey, after the establishment of a quasi-marital “civil unions” scheme, a Methodist institution was stripped of its tax exempt status when it declined, as a matter of religious conscience, to permit a facility it owned and operated to be used for ceremonies blessing homosexual unions. In Canada and some European nations, Christian clergy have been prosecuted for preaching Biblical norms against the practice of homosexuality. New hate-crime laws in America raise the specter of the same practice here.

In recent decades a growing body of case law has paralleled the decline in respect for religious values in the media, the academy and political leadership, resulting in restrictions on the free exercise of religion. We view this as an ominous development, not only because of its threat to the individual liberty guaranteed to every person, regardless of his or her faith, but because the trend also threatens the common welfare and the culture of freedom on which our system of republican government is founded. Restrictions on the freedom of conscience or the ability to hire people of one’s own faith or conscientious moral convictions for religious institutions, for example, undermines the viability of the intermediate structures of society, the essential buffer against the overweening authority of the state, resulting in the soft despotism Tocqueville so prophetically warned of.1 Disintegration of civil society is a prelude to tyranny.

As Christians, we take seriously the Biblical admonition to respect and obey those in authority. We believe in law and in the rule of law. We recognize the duty to comply with laws whether we happen to like them or not, unless the laws are gravely unjust or require those subject to them to do something unjust or otherwise immoral. The biblical purpose of law is to preserve order and serve justice and the common good; yet laws that are unjust—and especially laws that purport to compel citizens to do what is unjust—undermine the common good, rather than serve it.

Going back to the earliest days of the church, Christians have refused to compromise their proclamation of the gospel. In Acts 4, Peter and John were ordered to stop preaching. Their answer was, “Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God’s sight to obey you rather than God. For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” Through the centuries, Christianity has taught that civil disobedience is not only permitted, but sometimes required. There is no more eloquent defense of the rights and duties of religious conscience than the one offered by Martin Luther King, Jr., in his Letter from a Birmingham Jail. Writing from an explicitly Christian perspective, and citing Christian writers such as Augustine and Aquinas, King taught that just laws elevate and ennoble human beings because they are rooted in the moral law whose ultimate source is God Himself. Unjust laws degrade human beings. Inasmuch as they can claim no authority beyond sheer human will, they lack any power to bind in conscience. King’s willingness to go to jail, rather than comply with legal injustice, was exemplary and inspiring.

Because we honor justice and the common good, we will not comply with any edict that purports to compel our institutions to participate in abortions, embryo-destructive research, assisted suicide and euthanasia, or any other anti-life act; nor will we bend to any rule purporting to force us to bless immoral sexual partnerships, treat them as marriages or the equivalent, or refrain from proclaiming the truth, as we know it, about morality and immorality and marriage and the family. We will fully and ungrudgingly render to Caesar what is Caesar’s. But under no circumstances will we render to Caesar what is God’s.

R. Hampton,
The Manhattan Declaration is a push-back by Christians and others who are tired of the leftist, secular and radical homosexual movement’s insistence on repealing our God given right to freedom of religion and conscience. We are villified in the press and on campuses, we are sued in the courts for not cowtowing to your demands. Why is it that you believe it is justified for you to deny us our rights?
Stop paying federal taxes; we are already funding abortion overseas. Abortion is murder whether it is done in America or Africa. If you live in a state where your taxes are used to fund abortion, or if your state demands that your church or business support, in any way, homosexual “marriage” or gay adoption, stop paying your state taxes. It is not right to allow only bishops, priests and religious to pay the price for standing up against this assault on our religious liberty. Our right to freely practice our faith and our freedom of conscience is our foundational liberty, and this is why it must be protected at any cost. If we allow the State to take that freedom away from us, our liberty is gone. All people, religious or not, will pay a very high price. It has happened too often in other countries in the past, it is happening today in countries around the globe. America is not so special that it cannot happen here. Indeed, it is happening here, and we must stop it. ###

==============================================================
Consider. Yes, more and more Christians are pausing to remember who God is, and Whose we are. He doesn’t tire, or get weary of us. He is love and sends it to the just and the unjust. He is more than fair, he is merciful and kind and He’s knowlegeable. He lived here, too. He is ready. It’s our call whether we return to His very personal and available “SHEPHERDING”, or not. God didn’t make us robotic responders! We were created to choose and created in God’s very own image. Becoming Christians we have hope and we do change! “We are changing from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of God.” For some of us it takes a hundred years or more. For some of us we come to Him early. But we do come to Him from the ends of the earth. His love messaging never quits ‘texting’ us. You knew that. We get startled by His protection and His attention. He surprises us with some love notes written in creation, in a song, in a hand lifting us, in a dream, in a good grade demonstrating we can learn and know more. He reminds us who we are and WHOSE we could be. He gave me water, and my thirst for life with purpose and meaning is satisfied. I am His, and I’m being tuned to His frequency, so to speak. I belong to the Family of God. Reunion Coming. God transmits His love and I receive it and pass it on, mostly–with some misses–humanity is not divinity, if you know what I mean! God’s LOVE COMES to us WIRELESS! He did wireless first! –Rae
=============================================================The end will come. Omega! “And the Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ And let him that hears say, ‘Come.’ And let him that is thirsty come. And whosoever will, let him take the ‘Water of Life’ FREELY…He Who testifies of these things speaks out, “Surely I come quickly.” AMEN. Even so come, LORD JESUS. The GRACE of our LORD JESUS CHRIST BE WITH YOU ALL. AMEN.” Revelation 22:17,20,21.
Handel put to music, “The kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our LORD and of His Christ…” –from ‘Handel’s Messiah’, & one wise king stood!
———————————————————————————-
Follow that website’s links to Twitter and Facebook as well. God has a ‘big tent’ but a narrow way into a new place. Jesus is the Way, and why wouldn’t he know we need help. He’s been here, done that, lost His shirt, was accused unjustly, judged by the weak and the unwise of this world, persecuted for being perfectly right, pierced, beaten, nailed and bled out until He died. He said, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.

[ It happens, you know, that government doesn't know its right hand from its left without help, without we the people who are being shepherded ourselves, gently, powerfully. We are effectively salt and light, if we will be still and remember who God is. He comes to each one and would abide in each one of us. He is the same. He never changes. Let Him start teaching you as you journey. RSVP. Standing invitation.]

Jesus died. He descended to Hell and retrieved the keys to death from the devil–formerly in charge of the keys to Hell. With full payment made for the sins of the world Jesus had the right to retrieve the keys, and become an Advocate for the willing who also want to escape from death and destruction. There is no better attorney for a human being than Jesus, Who created all things, and lived among us for 33 years. Our sins crucified the only begotten Son of God…He said it was for this reason He came to earth. “No man takes my life from Me. I lay it down. I could have called angels to free Me.” PAID IN FULL–sins carried away as far as the east is from the west, and while north and south become each other eventually, EAST AND WEST NEVER MEET, EXCEPT AT GOD’S GREAT JUDGMENT SEAT, says poet Rudyard Kipling. Sins gone.

====================================================

In a Seattle, Washington college classroom, they were discussing the qualifications to be President of the United States.

It was pretty simple. The candidate must be a natural born citizen of at least 35 years of age.

However, one girl in the class became visibly upset and immediately started in on how unfair that was–the requirement to be a natural born citizen. In short, her opinion was that this requirement prevented many capable individuals from becoming president.

The class was taking it in and letting her rant, but some jaws hit the floor when she wrapped up her argument by stating, ‘What makes a natural born citizen any more qualified to lead this country than one born by C-section?’

Yep, there are 18 year olds admitted to our colleges, yet, that are eligible to vote for the President of the United States, but are totally unprepared for voting, with no thanks to our own U.S. educational system. Students do fall between the cracks, too often.

These poorly taught and often mis-educated, deprived student citizens, hopefully will not be our future leaders unless they get mentored and moulded somewhere other than the Seattle school curriculum.

Education is important! We must provide a viable education that teaches America’s foundations and prepares students to keep building on these foundations. Then we can expect a hope-filled future.

Let’s hear it for home schoolers. They’re known to be well prepared, know how to research, and they can study a topic for more than 20 minutes at a time! Home schooled students are notably talented and intensively inquisitive, going deeper educationally as well as wider and higher–and they reach for the stars right from home!

God bless our U.S. parents who decide to take time to supervise the learning of their own children as these homeschooled kids learn about life from the home on up to the white house–sort of like Washington and Lincoln, don’t cha know?! ###

The headline says it. The current President of the U.S. points his finger at corporations, and four fingers point back at him named:

                   1. union support
2. another union supporting him
3. and more unions — using forcibly collected monies from workers
who have inalienable rights, DIVERSE VALUES AND PERSPECTIVES!
4. and we can’t forget foreign contributors that gave him
undisclosed amounts of money to travel, meet and greet and bow down to even those who are enemies of America’s values, who despise our foundations and reject our lifestyle of liberty for all, and to buy up media spots to deceive the AMERICAN VOTERS about the kind of change he had chosen to bring America down to.

These UN-American activities with a capitalized U.N. of course, are self-explanatory. Like Lincoln said, “You can’t fool all of us all the time.” You just can’t.

Christians are always trying to help out. But our view of ourselves has narrowed to the point we sometimes come against ourselves. Perhaps we need to clean our window to the world.

Many Christians promote multi-culturalism instead of Christianity, fearing to discriminate. However, no one can serve two masters, and certainly not several. Loyalty to our American values conceived by faith in the living God, depicts historical freedoms, unique in the world. Christianity is a relationship with a living Person, Almighty God.

Christianity is not just religiosity and religion and ritual. It is relationship with Jesus Christ, God with us by His Spirit, for all who receive Him. We choose. He offers forgiveness of sins and eternal life. It’s a free gift for seekers of God.

Christianity in action means that all cultures are welcome in America, as our laws speak to that issue. No one gets burned at the stake or beheaded in this our country where we welcome diversity. In America freedom to be, and become more, was conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that humans are created equal.

No need to fear multiculturalism, unless there is a plot to undermine America, and Christianity, and force laws that would even eliminate Christianity, if it were possible. Practices of socialism, communism and Sharia law could aim to eliminate Christians if fully practiced here. Then we would have a problem with legalized “choppers who chop off heads” and not only heads, some hands and feet and some plucking out of eyes and stoning as well could then become “legalized” in America.

Death cultures are not welcomed here, and we will defend ourselves against cultures that destroy life and our way of life. Self defense in in order, even in America.

Perhaps America deserves repressive law like Sharia laws–seeing how we use our current legal system to decimate our unborn progeny, and over-medicate our elderly to death and into so much confusion that they can’t object to their own signature on a DNR/DNI form. These dishonored elders, when over-medicated, can’t drink water without choking and can’t chew and swallow their food without aspiration problems. The practice of euthanasia does harm first while forgetting that even the elderly and those near death can heal. Healing happens often in America!

As we Americans do it ‘to the least of these’ we do it to Jesus. Those Christians moving so self righteously against Christianity could remember we in America still allow our own enemies freedom to live among us, perhaps believing against all odds that some misled and misinformed brand new American citizens now living within our borders, will come to passionately value and protect freedom and liberty, too. Many new Americans are passionately pro-freedom, having experienced THE OPPOSITE before they arrived. While the Supreme Court ruled that the USA was Christian in its founding and in its documents, the Supreme Court did not ban non-Christians from citizenship. All people willing to live under rule of law are welcomed in the United States.

However, America has some legal housekeeping to do. We must stop the trafficking of humans–Minnesota is 13th on the list of U.S. states participating in this EVIL PRACTICE. We are an international destination for well paid human traffickers, those taking children and women from other cultures and depositing them into the grip of evil money mongers who use these trapped humans as a source of income. Disgust for these despicable slave traders must turn into actions to defeat them and their practices in Minnesota and in the U.S.

Human extinction still happens, one by one. What should we do when we see a human in need of release from slavery status in this ‘land of the free and the home of the brave’? You know. Act up. Speak out. Change laws so there is a higher standard than making money off another’s imprisonment. Yes, slavery is still extant here in MN– and where it exists in America the American dream is extinguished and a human often dies a tortured death. Torture happens here, in A MOTHER’S UTERUS killing an unborn human, in an assisted living facility that has become AN ASSISTED DYING FACILITY, in the grip of human traffickers that use offers of American freedom to entice and trap and even destroy other humans being deprived of their essential rights.

Stop abortion. Stop human trafficking. Stop euthanasia. Stand up for freedom.
Stop something evil! Change bad law, before these ill conceived statutes stop our very FREEDOM TO CHANGE LAWS, laws that should never have been legalized by us in the first place.

Rudyard Kipling sort of explained that east and west never meet and one does not become the other in a trip around the world. East remains east, and west remains “Westward, Ho”! Not so with north and south travels. Go south and you will eventually go north. Take your compass and your GPS!

Oh, East is East and West is West, and never the twain shall meet

Till Earth and Sky stand presently at God’s great Judgment Seat;

But there is neither East nor West, Border nor Breed nor Birth,

When two strong men stand face to face, tho’ they come from the ends of the earth!
==========================================================

In America we allow the strong to stand up and debate. We did have duels between opponents, but now we have a war of words.

Those righteous values that change people from the inside out, really promote freedom for all, even protection for our enemies to walk about in American freedom.

A new educational curriculum is in order in our schools–one that encourages debate about abortion, creation, evolution, socialism, capitalism, gender differences, health care and more. American history has often been rewritten until it becomes a diatribe against America. Supporting debate and research must be seen once again as proactive prevention. The right to speech and assembly actually prevents us from losing our way in a world of policies, philosophical differences, various religions, theoretical assumptions, ideas and ideals and more. There are very good and very evil practices calling to us. Do we know the difference?

To the public school unions and educators we would say, “American educators tear down those walls that prevent honest investigation and research in areas you fear to address–like LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS”.

Silliness in education is rampant, really, when you think of real American educators being disallowed to have a bumper sticker on their vehicle parked near the school, not have their Bible on their desk, have duct taped mouths when it comes to giving any logical reasons for disagreeing with evolutionism, abortion, euthanasia, indoctrinating our students with false fears that the sky is falling, and more. Free speech is often cut off at the door of our public educational institutions.

No, we don’t have to be like the rest of the world. We will remain a city on a hill by not blocking the light that comes from our Christian heritage. Join us or not. BUT NO ONE MUST BE ALLOWED to destroy what we hold dear…FREEDOM TO DEBATE, TO THINK, TO CHANGE OUR MINDS, to move toward better government by reviewing our laws, for the greater good of all of OUR CITIZENS, for CHRISTIANS AND NON-CHRISTIANS as well, of course. Debate is part of education. Reality therapy is iron sharpening iron, good for education and often instigating research.

Notice how in Minnesota and in America everyone around us is recognized as ‘a human being’? In America we believe that all people are created equal, with rights to utilize their potential, unless in the process they DEPRIVE others of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We might have more debates that address the issue of human rights, of freedom of soul and mind as well as of body.

Dueling went out with the 21 century–hopefully. You can’t really intelligently debate a dead opponent. But debate forces you to understand your opponent, and to think and interact with ideas.

So Christians, let’s start with ourselves. We can stand our ground, pray for our enemies and defend the most vulnerable among us. Would Jesus approve of that expression of Christianity?

This practice of Christianity might even catch on globally…you know like countries around the planet welcoming American missions to Indonesia and Haiti, welcome American food for the poor, welcome American builders building homes for the homeless around the world, welcome American support of schools and education for children and women in Iraq, welcome American medical personnel and treatments, i.e. vaccines to prevent malaria in mosquito laden climates, welcome American missions to provide shoes for the shoeless, welcome American families adopting an orphan and sending money each month for children that can’t be brought to the U.S, welcome the giving of useful Christmas gifts in shoe boxes from American families to hundreds of thousands of kids, welcome sending dentists and doctors to far away places, welcome those American contractors who supply sources of water to those who have no water available for miles…and Jesus would approve of even helping our enemies in many of these ways.

Want to put new thoughts into enemies heads and touch their hearts? We can put hot thoughts of amazement about the American way of life into the ‘experiences’ we offer to our allies and even our enemies. If we really want to replicate democracy, freedom and faith in Jesus Christ, Christians must be united for Christianity as it comes to us in Holy Scripture, and in the lifestyle and actions of one JESUS of Nazareth.

Windows of opportunity for American freedom.

Multiculturalism is the acceptance or promotion of multiple ethnic cultures, for practical reasons and/or for the sake of diversity and applied to the demographic make-up of a specific place, usually at the organizational level, e.g. schools, businesses, neighborhoods, cities or nations. In this context, multiculturalists advocate extending equitable status to distinct ethnic and religious groups without promoting any specific ethnic, religious, and/or cultural community values as central.

The policy of multiculturalism is often contrasted with the concepts assimilationism and social integration. Multicultural policies are sometimes confused with the concept of the multinational state. A country may be multi-national without being multicultural.

Some countries have official (or de jure) policies of multiculturalism aimed at promoting social cohesion by recognizing distinct groups within a society and allowing those groups to celebrate and maintain their cultures or cultural identities. Many critics of deliberated, government-instituted policies believe they artificially perpetuate social divisions, damaging the social cohesion of the nation-state.

However, proponents of multicultural programs argue that social cohesion has too often been achieved either by explicit discrimination against cultural minority groups (e.g., laws that restrict the freedoms of certain groups) or by an implicit discrimination which rejects other cultural forms as being without value (e.g., school programs that never teach the historic and artistic contributions of minorities).

Critics of multiculturalism often charge multiculturalists with practicing cultural relativism (i.e., judging customs and practices of other cultures in their contexts), often confusing this with moral relativism (lack of an idea of right and wrong), and they emphasize that not all cultural values and practices must be held in equal regard in every given society. They warn against special treatment that might violate the principle of equality before the law, and emphasize that citizenship denotes a tacit agreement to abide by the laws, customs and accepted value system of nation, especially in regards to those who chose to emigrate from abroad to join their newly adopted society.

Advocates of multiculturalism counter these objections by claiming that 1) the issue is not cultural relativism but the whitewashing of history, i.e., that history has been written to play up the contributions of the dominant group and to downplay the (often significant) contributions of minority groups; 2) with regards to cultural/artistic contributions, the claim that minority culture is inferior is often based less on aesthetic quality than on politically-motivated criteria; 3) the issue is often not legal equality but simply recognition that minorities do exist in the culture; and 4) many minority groups did not immigrate but were either imported or previously living on the land.
